Who R U Picking?

Mayweather.

That's the short answer.

The long answer is I am extremely doubtful, but I always trust my first instinct on a fight.  My first thought was Mayweather on an easy decision victory solidifying his standing as a living Hall of Famer.

He's already a HOFer regardless, but this fight?  This would literally put a stamp on his standing as an all-time, top five ever.  Ever.

This is coming from someone (me) who despises Floyd "Money" Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs).  I despise his mouth.  I despise how he takes everything he has for granted and his belief that he is the best to ever fight.

Yes, he actually said that.

To quote his majesty...

"I got respect for Sugar Ray Robinson. I've got respect for Muhammad Ali," Mayweather said. "But I'm a man just like they're men. I put on my pants just like they put on their pants. What makes them any better than I am? Because they fought a thousand fights? In my era, it's totally different, you know? It's pay-per-view now, so things change. It's out with the old and in with the new. Things change.

"Like I said, Muhammad Ali is one hell of a fighter. But Floyd Mayweather is the best. Sugar Ray Robinson is one hell of a fighter, but Floyd Mayweather is the best."

True story, he actually said that.

Devon Alexander-Juan Urango 140lb unification

This is my round-by-round blog on the fight as I saw it live.

DA = Devon Alexander
JU = Juan Urango

Is that self explanitory? Yes.  But people never cease to amaze me!

Round 1: DA good right. Uppercut shortly after for DA. Another good uppercut for DA. JU is doing nothing. JU great right hand, jelly legged DA.

10-9 Alexander

Round 2: JU rushing DA to start round, good shots to the body. DA working jab, not too many land, but they are keeping JU out of range. JU with several good body shots. Very good right cross by DA. Another good overhand right for DA. Cut was opened up on JU at some point in the round.

10-9 Alexander

Round 3: JU rushing at the start again. DA is working in many more combinations. Great right for DA. JU’s cut now bleeding down the left side of his face. JU is imposing his style more, DA falling into trading instead of using the jab and movement.

10-9 Alexander

Round 4: More trading now. JU is drawing DA into a small slugfest now. Some beautiful counters for DA. More great countering by DA. JU doing a lot of bullrushing in with his head down and flailing. JU getting frustrated.

10-9 Alexander
